What is MantraCV?
MantraCV is a resume + cover-letter builder with live ATS scoring, single-column templates that parse cleanly through major applicant tracking systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Naukri and more), and matching cover-letter layouts — all in one editor. Export ATS-safe PDFs or editable DOCX files.
Do I need to pay to use it?
How long does it take to build a resume?
Most users finish their first resume in 15–25 minutes. If you already have an existing CV, upload it as PDF or DOCX and the editor pre-fills every section — usually under 2 minutes to review and polish.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The editor is fully responsive — write on mobile, preview full-screen, export to PDF. The download triggers a normal mobile file save dialog (Files / Drive / WhatsApp share).
Can I edit my resume after exporting?
Yes. Your resume is saved to your account — sign in any time to edit and re-export. The DOCX export is also fully editable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or Pages.
ATS & templates
Will an ATS actually parse my resume correctly?
Yes — that's the design constraint. All MantraCV templates are single-column, plain-text-first, with selectable PDF text and no graphics or tables. That's the format the major applicant tracking systems parse most reliably — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Zoho Recruit, Naukri, and Shine among them.
What is the ATS score and how is it calculated?
A 0–100 number shown live in the editor based on five pillars:
- Impact (25%) — strong action verbs + numeric outcomes in your bullets.
- Keywords (25%) — coverage of role-relevant terms.
- Completeness (20%) — required sections present and populated.
- Formatting (15%) — single-column, consistent dates, no tables.
- Readability (15%) — bullet length, plain language, scannable.
The score updates as you type. 80+ is "ATS-ready"; below 70 needs work — the editor sidebar shows exactly which pillar is dragging the score down.
How many templates are there?
A tight set of single-column resume templates and 6 cover-letter layouts, each with an accent-colour picker. The choice is deliberate — every template is ATS-tested. We'll add more as users request specific industries.
Can I upload an existing PDF or DOCX?
Yes. Go to Upload existing and drop a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file. The parser extracts profile, education, skills, experience, projects, certifications, and achievements into editable form. Typically under 5 seconds.
Billing & privacy
Is my data safe?
Yes. Resumes and personal data are stored in Supabase (Postgres, hosted in the EU) with row-level security — only you can read your own rows. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or recruiters. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Account settings → "Delete my account". Confirms with your email and removes your profile, resumes, cover letters, subscriptions, and payment history. Personal identifiers are redacted from tax records after 90 days per the Privacy Policy.
Who do I contact if I have a problem?
Email us via the channels listed on the Contact page. A human reads every message — most replies go out within one business day. For DPDP / privacy grievances, the Grievance Officer is committed to a 48-hour acknowledgement (per the DPDP Act, 2023).
